
Lobonok, Juba county, Africa Zeal University -AZU celebrated a significant journey on Saturday November 16th 2024, as it graduated it’s first cohort of 44 students in a historic ceremony held in Yapa boma, Lobonok payam
The event brought together government officials, representatives from NGOs, members of diplomatic corps, students and the local community.
Among the attendance were the Vice president of the Republic of South Sudan H.E. Prof James Wani Igga who was the Patron of the day and the Deputy governor of Central Equatoria state H.E Paulina Lukudu.
In his speech, Igga emphasized the University commitment to academic excellence and commended the role Education plays in South Sudan. He encouraged the graduates to be job creators rather than job seekers.
AZU was founded to provide accessible and quality higher education in South Sudan. The University is located in Yapa boma, Lobonok payam, Juba county with it’s coordination office in Munuki suk Melissa
